Back in May, OpSec exhibited at Licensing Expo, the largest licensing trade show in the world. With over 12,000 attendees and thousands of iconic brands, many of the latest industry trends were on the agenda, such as AI advancements, gaming’s massive growth in popularity, and the uptick in nostalgia and “kidult” culture.
It was a great opportunity to meet with many of our existing long-term customers and new partners, from character and consumer to sports. We were excited to showcase our expanded portfolio of premium trim and merchandising components, consisting of labels, hangtags, heat transfers, patches, and packaging. At our booth, we also held live demonstrations of the OpSec Insight digital licensing platform, which streamlines workflows and reporting to bring control to complex programs.

“Licensing Expo was incredibly busy, which was great to see. Visitors had interest in a wide variety of areas, including our Insight digital licensing platform and on-product security solutions. With our acquisition of Global Trim since the last show, visitors also enjoyed seeing all our new trim items, which they can get with or without security features to further protect their brands.”
For OpSec, we showcased our sector-specific approach to meet a variety of licensing requirements, from bringing officially licensed merchandise to life for sports fans, to helping character brands stand out in crowded markets. We introduced Gulf Coast Pirates, an OpSec imagined brand envisioned as a modern US soccer franchise and created to explore the art of the possible. The new Inspiring Concepts, Sports Edition and a selection of merchandising elements for imagined brands like the Gulf Coast Pirates brought to life the real world complications we see.
From character and consumer to sports… OpSec has the solution
Licensing programs come in all shapes and sizes. From scalable licensing management platforms and impactful merchandising to basic online and on-product brand protection, these are the foundations of a successful program. But what about the risk of unofficial products or fakes being sold ahead of a major film release? Or a sports brand that is looking for something a bit more personalized for the end season big game? That’s where our industry solutions come in, offering licensors a more sector-specific approach to their licensing requirements.
